The Town of Nunda is Accepting Cemetery Mowing Bids

 

Sealed bids for the mowing and trimming of Union Cemetery in Dalton, NY 14836, will be received at the office of the Nunda Town Clerk, 4 Massachusetts Street, PO Box 699, Nunda, New York 14517 until end of business at 4:30 PM on Monday April 13, 2026. They will be publicly opened and read out loud at the Regular Town Board Meeting of April 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM.

           

Bidders must give a price for the mowing season from May 1st through October 31st. Awarded Bidders will be paid monthly. Bidders must carry liability insurance, at a minimum of $100,000, that will be submitted to the Town Board upon request. Please submit your bid in a sealed envelope at the above address with the name and the address of the bidder written on the envelope and marked Cemetery Mowing Bid.

NUNDA TAX BILLS: 2% Penalty Notice

​

Please be aware that all 2026 Town and County property tax payments made in-person after February 28th must include the 2% penalty plus the $2.00 second notice fee. Please refer to the “Late Payment Schedule on Total Tax Due” box at the bottom of your tax bill for the correct total payment amount.

Payments must be postmarked or received in the Tax Collector’s office no later than Saturday, February 28, 2026, in order to avoid the 2% penalty plus $2.00 second notice fee. 

Tax Collector Office Hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 8:00AM-4:30PM

LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

​

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of Nunda, and pursuant to New York State Town Law that a public hearing shall be held at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Nunda, at the Government Center, located at 4 Massachusetts Street, Nunda, New York at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 for the purpose of considering public opinion and comment about or concerning the following: 

 

A Local Law to Regulate the Use of Limited Use Vehicles and All-Terrain Vehicles on Town Highways. 
 

A copy of the proposed local law is available for review by the public at the office of the Town Clerk during regular Town Clerk hours, or by visiting the Town Government page of the Town  web site at https://www.townofnundany.gov 
 

All interested persons are invited to appear and be heard at the aforesaid time and place.

NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT TOWN OF NUNDA

​

Notice is hereby given that I, Tamara McCallum, the undersigned Collector of Taxes in and for the Town of Nunda, have received the tax rolls and warrant for the collection of taxes for 2026.

 

Taxes may be paid in the following manner:

  • In-person payments will be collected at the Government Center, 4 Massachusetts St., Nunda, during the following hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. CASH PAYMENTS MUST BE EXACT CHANGE.

  • Mailed payments should be made payable to Tamara McCallum, Tax Collector, and sent to PO Box 699, Nunda, NY 14517.

  • For your convenience, there is a locked drop box located outside the Government Center front door.

 

There is no penalty if postmarked by January 31, 2026. All taxes received after that date shall incur a 1% penalty for postmark on or before February 28, 2026: 2% penalty, for postmark on or before March 31, 2026.

 

Pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Tax Law, a delinquent notice will be mailed on or after the thirty-first day following the expiration of the period of interest-free payment of taxes. The law mandates that the expense of mailing such notice shall be an additional two dollars ($2) against the parcel. Further Notice: pursuant to the provisions of law, any payments in person after April 1, 2026, or any payment postmarked after March 31st, 2026, are payable to the County Treasurer plus 5% and $2.00 and will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Livingston on the 1st day of April 2026.
