Police Department

The Nunda Police Department is a joint Village and Town Department that was established in November of 1956 at General Election. As a joint department, the police budget is managed at an even divide between the Village and Town and a meeting is held on a monthly basis between the four Nunda police commissioners and the Chief of Police. Two commissioners are appointed from the Village Board by the Village Mayor and two are appointed from the Nunda Town Board by the Town Supervisor

Police Commissioner Meetings are held at the Nunda Government Center the first Monday of every month. Here are the dates for the 2025 meetings:
